Item Status Management
Administrative workers must make the right decisions many times every day and at every step to ensure the completeness of information. Item Status Management helps help employees and companies to manage the lifecycle of, for example, items. Item Status Management is based on Lifecycle Base
When employees use a Lifecycle application, they remain in control and drive the workflow forward, but also benefit from an automated, structured process that takes care of the more mechanical aspects of their tasks. Users navigate through the business processes as they usually would, but with the support of intelligent functions that check conditions and authorizations, and trigger routine actions such as printing and posting. Lengthy tasks can be automated to run in the background without impacting system performance.
Lifecycle Base
Lifecycle Base comes out of the box with Item Status as a working example of the possibilities of Lifecycle Base. With Item Status users are guided through the states an item can be in like New, Calculating, Planning, Released, Phased Out, Blocked, etc. The user decides when an item must go to a next state and Lifecycle Base checks if all conditions are met to accept that next state, or triggers an action like printing a report. Lifecycle Base with Item Status is also the basis for Lifecycle in other apps like Project Control Suite.
